The brief

Hertfordshire based business Classfoto (now known as Moving Memories) approached Eric to film its introductory video, explaining a concept that needed a clear, simple explanation for new customers to understand quickly.

The brief was small in scope but genuinely demanding on delivery, a small business explainer video with no room for confusion, since the whole point was making the concept instantly clear.

The finished video needed to work as the first thing a new customer saw on the Classfoto website.

The approach

  • Exactly what Classfoto’s concept actually was
  • Why it mattered to a new customer specifically
  • How simple it was to get started
  • What made the business trustworthy from a first impression

Production

  • Developing a storyboard that was ready to go from a small initial brief
  • Filming the introductory video to the agreed storyboard
  • Adding backing music to match the tone Classfoto wanted
  • Reshooting the video with a few changes once Classfoto felt the original setting wasn’t quite right
  • Delivering the final result with patience and professionalism throughout the revision process

The result

Why this project worked

This project shows what a small business genuinely needs from a first video, clarity and professionalism, not necessarily scale, and a willingness to get it right even if that means reshooting.

Every video project follows a structured process: discovery to understand your goals, planning and pre-production including scripts, storyboards and schedules, professional filming, editing and post-production, then delivery of finished videos optimised for websites, presentations and social media.

Timescales vary depending on the complexity of the project, but many corporate videos can be completed within a few weeks from initial briefing to final delivery. Larger productions involving multiple locations, interviews or extensive editing may require additional time.
