The brief
Hertfordshire based business Classfoto (now known as Moving Memories) approached Eric to film its introductory video, explaining a concept that needed a clear, simple explanation for new customers to understand quickly.
The brief was small in scope but genuinely demanding on delivery, a small business explainer video with no room for confusion, since the whole point was making the concept instantly clear.
The finished video needed to work as the first thing a new customer saw on the Classfoto website.
The approach
Working from a small brief, a storyboard was developed and ready to go, with backing music chosen to match the tone Classfoto wanted.
Rather than a generic explainer, the aim was a video that helped viewers understand:
- Exactly what Classfoto’s concept actually was
- Why it mattered to a new customer specifically
- How simple it was to get started
- What made the business trustworthy from a first impression
After the first version was delivered, Classfoto felt the setting wasn’t quite right, so the video was reshot with a few changes, handled without fuss.
Production
The project involved delivering a ready-to-go storyboard from a small initial brief. This included:
- Developing a storyboard that was ready to go from a small initial brief
- Filming the introductory video to the agreed storyboard
- Adding backing music to match the tone Classfoto wanted
- Reshooting the video with a few changes once Classfoto felt the original setting wasn’t quite right
- Delivering the final result with patience and professionalism throughout the revision process
Throughout, the willingness to reshoot without complaint was exactly the kind of service a small business genuinely needs from a supplier.
The result
The finished video gave Classfoto exactly the clear, professional introduction it needed for its website and new customers.
Stephen Bartlett at Classfoto put it simply: an end product that was perfect for their needs, delivered with the utmost professionalism, amazing patience, and a genuine joy to work with, a 10 out of 10 experience.
By combining a strong initial storyboard with genuine flexibility when it mattered, the project became a small business success story built on patience as much as production quality.
Why this project worked
This project shows what a small business genuinely needs from a first video, clarity and professionalism, not necessarily scale, and a willingness to get it right even if that means reshooting.
